There are many ways to get involved and make a difference in the lives of people who are living with the daily challenges of epilepsy. We want to improve the publics knowledge and help them understand the meaning of a seizure, what a seizure looks like and what to do if they see someone having a seizure. It is very important to create epilepsy awareness to help the fight for epilepsy.
Learn about how you can support and promote the fight to overcome the daily challenges that people living with epilepsy are faced with. Your support will aid in the research for better seizure treatments and finding cures. Most people who live with epilepsy, have seizures that are controlled on their first prescribed anti-seizure medication. However, one-third have seizures that can’t be controlled with current medication.
Therefore, the unpredictability of when and where they might have a seizure has an emotional effect on their lives and on the lives of their loved ones. We want them to know all the treatment options that might help control their seizures.
